What actually drives the price
Keys carry the collection
A handful of first appearances usually accounts for most of a collection's value. If you know you have something significant, mention the issue numbers up front — it changes how we approach the whole valuation.
Grade is everything on old books
The same golden age issue can range from tens to tens of thousands of dollars depending on grade. Spine ticks, colour breaks, tape, staple rust and trimming all matter enormously. Never tape or repair a comic to make it look better.
Complete runs beat scattered issues
A full run is worth more than the same books scattered, because it sells as one lot. If your collection is organised, tell us — and if it is not, do not spend a weekend sorting on our account.
Storage tells the story
Comics kept bagged and boarded in a cool dry room are a completely different proposition from a damp basement box. Both are worth showing us; it just changes the numbers.

- We research and make an offer. We check recent sold prices, not guide values, and come back with a specific number and the reasoning behind it.
- You get paid. Accept and we arrange pickup or shipping, and pay on collection. No fees, no consignment wait.

Questions about selling comics
How much is my comic book collection worth?
It depends almost entirely on which issues are in it and what condition they are in. A few key first appearances can be worth more than several thousand ordinary issues. Send Chrono Collectibles photos of the spines and any books you think are significant, and we will research recent sales and give you a specific number with the reasoning.
Do you buy modern comics and full long boxes?
Yes. Chrono Collectibles buys modern comics and complete long boxes. Modern books are usually low value individually, but we take them as part of a collection rather than picking out only the keys — which is the thing most sellers actually want.
Should I get my comics graded before selling?
Only for genuinely high-value books in excellent condition. Grading costs money and takes months, and it rarely pays off on mid-grade or common issues. Chrono Collectibles prices raw comics on their grading potential, so for most collections selling raw nets you more.
